Scene 1 · The pitch
Your product demo video, directed for you.
Upload a screen recording of your app. The Director writes the story, cuts your real footage and adds voice-over, music and sound. A teaser, hook, pitch or explainer, ready before your launch.
Scene 2 · Table read
You built the product. The video is what stalls the launch.
“The demo video is honestly the most painful part. Way harder than building the actual product.”
“10 prompts in and it was not getting better… spent my entire weekend.”
“Almost 2 weeks, and the cut still wasn't what we wanted 2 days before the launch.”
Scene 3 · Four cuts, one recording
Teaser, hook, pitch and explainer videos.
Each launch needs a few kinds of video. Pick one, or get all four from the same footage, in one look.

Continuity check: it watches its own cut
AI video tools can't see what they made. Before you see a frame, every cut is checked for:
- Text cut off or overlapping
- Text outside each platform's safe zone
- Contrast too low to read
- Product too small to see
- Blank or frozen frames
- Loudness and clipping
- Silences and overlapping voice
- Running over length
Scene 5 · The options
Why not just ask Claude?
Generating a video is easy now. Directing one is the hard part: what to show, in what order, cut from which seconds of your footage, in your brand instead of the default AI look.
1. Make it myself with Claude + Remotion
a weekend and your usage limits, and it comes out in the default AI look: gradients, centred text, everything fades in.
2. Hire a freelancer or an agency
$1,500 to $15,000, 1 to 3 weeks, and every change is another round of email.
3. Demo Editor
$49 for 3 videos, about 30 minutes each, cut from your real screens, in your brand. Change it by asking.
Scene 6 · Where it plays
Every demo video your launch needs.
SaaS demo video
A raw walkthrough becomes one task, start to finish, without the typos and spinners.
Product Hunt launch video
A pitch for the gallery, a hook for the launch thread, in the same look.
YC demo video
A short, honest demo of what you built, cut from your own screen.
App demo video
Phone recordings on a real device, cropped to what matters.
Feature announcement
A hook made from the one screen that shows the new thing.
Onboarding explainer
How it works in a minute, for docs and welcome emails.

Questions founders ask.
INT. YOUR LAUNCH WEEK — LATE NIGHT
A founder stares at a finished product and an empty video folder.
FOUNDER
How do I make a product demo video?
THE DIRECTOR
(not looking up from the cut)
Record yourself doing one real task in your product, start to finish. Upload it with your landing page URL and pick a teaser, hook, pitch or explainer. The Director cuts it into a finished video with voice-over and music. You check the storyboard first and ask for changes in plain words.
FOUNDER
How long should a demo video be?
THE DIRECTOR
(scrubbing back to 0:00)
As short as the job allows. A hook works in 10 to 20 seconds, a teaser in up to 30, a pitch in 30 to 45, an explainer in about a minute. Most people stop watching a launch demo after a minute, so every cut stays inside those limits.
FOUNDER
What's the difference between a teaser, a hook, a pitch and an explainer?
THE DIRECTOR
(beat)
A teaser makes people curious and holds back how it works. A hook stops the scroll with one idea and one call to action. A pitch persuades: problem, product, proof, offer. An explainer teaches how the product works, step by step.
FOUNDER
Why not make it myself with Claude and Remotion?
THE DIRECTOR
(already rendering)
You can. Most founders who try spend a weekend prompting and fixing frames by hand, and end up with the default AI look. The Director works from your real footage and your brand, writes a storyboard you can correct, checks every frame and takes changes in a sentence.
FOUNDER
Do I need to know video editing?
THE DIRECTOR
(shrugs)
No. There's no timeline to learn. Upload, read the storyboard, and tell the Director what to change, the way you'd brief a person.
FOUNDER
Can it use my real product, not stock footage?
THE DIRECTOR
(points at the recording)
That's the point. It reads your site, uses your screenshots and cuts your screen recordings, including screens behind your login. It never invents features or results your product doesn't have.
FOUNDER
Which formats and languages do I get?
THE DIRECTOR
(checking the safe zones)
Portrait 9:16, square 1:1 and landscape 16:9, cropped for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, X, LinkedIn and your site. Voice-over in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German or Bahasa Indonesia.
FOUNDER
Is it a subscription?
THE DIRECTOR
(tapping the budget sheet)
No. You pay once for a pack. Launch is $49 for 3 videos with 4 edits each, valid for 30 days. Max is $79 for 7 videos with 5 edits each, valid for 6 months. Videos you don't use by then expire.
FOUNDER
Who owns the video?
THE DIRECTOR
(handing over the file)
You do. Use it on your site, in your launch and in ads, with no watermark.
